Panera @ The Greene Complaint

Usually do not go to this Panera. Take my lunch break to purchase lunch for my wife today, 3/8/2016 bought the combo (broccoli cheddar, baguette, turkey sandwich). The Baguette was not thoroughly cooked and the center was still doughy, soup was too salty and had stalk pieces not eatable, sandwich bread tasted stale. Had not been back for a while and do not feel that this is what my food should have been like unless Panera's standards have went down. Panera Bread - Soup Review from Louisville, Kentucky

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I ate at Panera in Middletown, on Shelbyville Rd. (Louisville, KY) this past Sunday(17). I ordered black bean soup, which was very good and a half of a panini sandwich with turkey, cheese ( goat) and kale. The bread was thin and cold and barely grilled. The turkey looked as thought it had already been chewed as it was in hunks and mealy. As for the cheese( the two dots were barely melted ) . Kale??? What kale? It looked like spinach to me-what little I could discern after picking up turkey from the bread. It was a flimsy, cold and tasteless sandwich!!!!!

I ordered the chicken tortellini Alfredo to go. I liked it because I have had it before. What I got was plain tortellini and not a piece of chicken for almost $8.

Complaint

Take out order:Ordered tom soup did not get it .Was not charged that was a good thing but really wanted the soup. . Salad was skimped instead of Ceasar they gave me Ranch. Put the Salad in the bag between two hot items. Had to put salad in refrigerator to chill it. Found this all out after I got home to late to go back. Really don't think I will go back. First visit / last visit too many other good take out restaurants to try this one again.

Half and Half

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My wife and I went to Panera in Woodstock Il. Bill was $30.11.We both had a Pick two.

we were charged $8.99 for the Garden Chicken Wonton bowl, and $2.99 for the half sandwich, and $2.99 for the half salad.

When question why the Garden Chicken was so expensive, We were told that it was a full bowl and not half, So what does pick two mean, We should of been told that the Wonton bowl will be charged at full price.$8.99 for lunch, unacceptable. Needless to say that Panera lost two of its customers today.

This happened to my girlfriend and I today. I saw the broth bowl was listed as part of the "pick 2" combo so we each got that and a half sandwich.

$14 each! WTF?

My guess is they expect you to know how to read the sign stating the prices since you are adults. That is why you were not told the prices when ordering.

Poor quality of prepared salads

My wife and I are both in our seventies so I guess you could say we are just old and cranky, but we try to eat healthy. Your new light version of pick two was appealing to us so we tried it. The soup was good as usual, but the salad was of very poor quality. We both chose the classic salad which consisted of 98% old wilted assorted greens, a small piece of badly overripe tomato, and a slice of red onion. It was obvious the salads were prepared well in advance (perhaps days earlier) and dumped into a cardboard box with nothing to keep the contents from sticking to the bottom and sides of the box. It had been a while since we had gotten carry out from Panera and were sad to discover how far the quality had fallen. I doubt that we will be back.

No customer service and cafe nasty

Worst experience since they opened in Decatur, Alabama. Only person in line took 15 to 20 minutes and then I had to tell them I needed to order. They didn't have anything hardly in the breads or bagels. Customer service was awful!!!!The manager didn't care. I will have to say the salad was good but they did not have the one you can get anytime in Birmingham, Alabama. The displays of the sweets and pastries needs to go back when it first opened. it looks like a cafeteria style. I spent almost ten dollars and the food was just throw on the plate like in an assembly line. That's the way it is in Decatur, Alabama. Restaurants don't last long here the food gets awful then you get reports of a restaurant having food poison the help is sorry and doesn't give a care if they come back to help you !!!Plus, you get treated like you had bothered them when you said you wanted to be waited on for food.Plus this Panera was nasty, the garbage smelled so bad I thought I was going to throw up what I ate!!!There was food on the floor under my table. There was also someone else complaining too and had someone over to their table. I not paying anymore money out to these sorry restaurants in Decatur, Alabama which wants to be like a big city and you are not with their prices.Decatur, Alabama restaurants are as high as the big cities. So why not go out of town and eat somewhere it is good!!!!In Atlanta the waitresses and waiters want to serve you and they want to make you happy. Why don't you restaurants like Panera and all in Decatur bring someone from out of town to train this idiots around in this city.

Chicken Noodle Soup? Black Bean Soup?

I ordered chicken noodle soup off of the menu and I waited 8 minutes of my life that I could've spent doing something useful with for a rip-off of chicken noodle soup. The chicken noodle soup had no chicken or noodles, only water with a few carrots in it. The only sort of noodles I got were little flakes of dough that dissolved in my mouth. Even carrot slices were rarely found in the soup, which also did the same thing in my mouth. We also ordered a so-called "Black Bean Soup" which tasted like puréed black beans mixed with basil, salt, and pepper. It literally had nothing else; no chicken, vegetables, not even the disgusting flake noodles. The Chicken Rico's in Baltimore has a SAUCE that tastes better than this SOUP. I could eat 5 bowls of that sauce, but I cannot even eat 1 bowl of this disaster. Please fix these problems, we wasted 42$ on 4 meals that were horrid.

Panera Bread - Bread Review from Farmington, New York

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When Panera opened some years ago, they were great. What happened? I decided to stop in to a new location (Victor, NY) last night for dinner and was annoyed and greatly disappointed. The so called steak panini was nothing more than a few small pieces of meat and cheese. Even more disappointing -- it was cold in the center. I won't be eating there anymore! My husband said his sandwich was mushy. Two sandwiches at more than $20 was a huge rip off.
