Good heavens! Why do people expect to be greeted when they enter a business?

When I enter a business, I am there to do business, not socialize. Are you aware, little miss know it all, that there isn't any such word as "u"?

There also isn't such a word as "gonna." The manager was probably in back doing paper work, etc. They do have more to do than be out front all the time.

Panera Bread - Got tiny half salads and was ignored by the cooks and corporate!
I have been trying to contact Panera Bread through their contact email on their website for almost 2 weeks now and have received NO response. I had a horrible experience at our Panera Bread. My husband and I both ordered the pick 2 specials to go and got a half salad...

Over the years, Panera sandwiches have been shrinking and the ingredients have also been miniaturized. The only thing that has increased over the years is the price! You don't get much for your dollar at Panera now.

Several years ago my wife and I were encouraged to sign up for various notices and free coffee and/or pastry at our birthday times. We enjoyed this gift several times, most recently in October when my wife received both coffee and a roll. Assuming the same would apply...

It sounds like you only have one account in which case only the account holder's birthday gets the free birthday treat. So you can't both get free bakery treats or people could get them every month and scam Panera by adding fake birthdays.

Also rewards for birthdays are just the free bakery treat- any other rewards are random and based on how often you visit. It's unlikely you'd get multiple rewards for the same items as your wife just because you got rewards several months back.

Panera Bread in Blythewood, South Carolina - WE DONT HAVE ANY

I am disappointed that the Panera Bread in Walnut Creek Ca at 12:30pm in the afternoon did not have any soup prepared for the day. Walnut Creek is considered one of the busiest areas for lunch because of all the corporate offices in the area. The Lady at the counter encourage me to drive to another Panera Bread 20 minutes away to get the seasonal harvest soup that Panera Bread is currently marketing for the Holiday Season. I drove the 20 minutes but I will not do it again. This was a huge inconvenience for me. I do not go to Panera Bread for lunch often but now I’m considering on not returning.

12:30 pm is rush hour lunch and as Panera only serves quality soups- ie fresh- if they run out they have to wait while more is prepared...le duh. It happens- it just means the product was really good. If it's that big a deal try going when it isn't a peak hour like around 11 or 2.

Panera Bread in Rutland, Vermont - Problems with General Manager

Saw him brutally verbally assault his workers several times. As a manager for a 4 star restaurant in New York I see a considerable lack of leadership qualities in Rutland, Vermont's Panera Bread's General Manager. Lost at least two customers today, probably more as I will not give a good recommendation. He Makes Panera look hostile and unwelcoming. The associates there seemed under great stress and feared. Severely understaffed for the average Panera Corporation of cafes in the surrounding are. Workers there seem overworked and dissatisfied, as are customers. Although food is still up to par. The environment just does not make it the same or a comfortable enjoyable environment. Anonymous.

I eat a pan era often. I don't understand why you would take a good egg and put it in water. There is a healthy way to fry eggs to order. You're not even close to eve n representing a pouched egg. Who wants an egg that's been sitting in water for who knows how long. I...

They don't put cooked eggs in water- the egg is cooked BY the boiling water- they don't have grills- just sandwich presses- there so it's the only way to cook them.

Panera Bread in Oswego, Illinois - Criminal Rudeness

I observed the manager's behavior toward customers and staff on several occasions. On my last visit she refused to identify herself so I got her name from staff. Sarah. She harassed one staff member to tears so she left outside. Though the food was acceptable the atmosphere was hostile. I will gladly represent customers / staff in litigation should corporate not take corrective action. Oswego residents deserve a decent atmosphere without this drama. Who in Panera hires these dysfunctional people to work in a management capacity. Is this the kind of company Panera wants to portray. This may be considered legal notice.

Who is this LTCC guy that flames anyone that has a complaint about Panera ?? I don't think his rants are that of an employee or even a stock holder.

I think he is just a little sneeze that hides behind a monitor and reaches out to screw with people.

So inquiring minds want to know.....did you contact Panera's parent company....or is this all hot air and bravado? Just curious....what is your legal notice all about?

Was the managers actions harrassment or corrective action that brought the girl to tears.....good luck on that one. And as to the atmosphere.....was anything directed at you?

Your story is vague. Begining to think you might be the girls friend......

ok i know this is an OLD post but i came across and had to reply.

firstly ANY place that makes food that you're getting to go OR eating there YOU should be checking and having them correct BEFORE going. don't care if it's walk in or drive thru take an extra minute or 2 to check it and have your problems corrected then and there instead of waiting to find out you got a mistake and then coming onto a public complains board to complain like a little child
