We had the new Thai Garden Chicken Wonton Soup, which was inedible! It cost $9.95 per bowl! We honestly thought it would be something special, but instead it was very very salty, while the filling in the wonton was a sort-of mystery blend. The broccoli in the soup was of varying degrees of "doneness", as if they had added some fresh broccoli to older soup. We ordered pastry as well, which was pretty good. We have always enjoyed Panera,...

The worst soup my friend and I have ever had in our lives! The chicken wonton broth is drenched in soy sauce and has cilantro which is not even mentioned. BAD flavor. On top of that, the waitress was extremely rude. Not what we expected from Panera's, which usually has good food and great sevice. Very disappointed with this Panera on OLD SAINT AUGUSTINE ROAD in JACKSONVILLE, Florida.I will not frequent that Panera in the future.

Location: Central Ave.& Thomas in Phoenix. Very courteous staff but the Thai chicken broth bowl was so salty, broth tasted like only soy sauce was used. Chicken wontons contained a paste that i think maybe have been processed chicken. In a word, $9.50 for soy soup base with unedible wontons was highway robbery.I did have it to go so store had no way to rectify but this item should not be on the menu.

Panera Bread Thai Garden Chicken Wonton Broth Bowl Review from Wilmette, Illinois
So I decided to try something new.Terribly disappoited. The broth tasted like a can of beef broth was poured into a bowl and veggies and wontons were added. To add insult onto injury had to pay $8.69 and barely got a third of the bowl. Not complaining as this was the worst soup ever and wouldnt have been able to eat more. But the picture shows one spoon of broth gone and half a wonton.Expensive.

I ordered the Thai wonton broth bowl. For $8 and change. Thought it would be a generous serving. FAR FROM IT. It was large bowl with barely enough broth to cover the bottom. It had 3 wontons, some green leafy vegetable and mushrooms and LOADED with sesame seeds which I cannot eat. I should have returned it and gotten something else. Needless to say, it was disappointing and I will advise others not to order it. I never usually hesitate to eat a...

Anonymous And when you asked the order taker what was in the soup, what did they say?

Anonymous I had a similar experience with this menu item in Charlotte NC. It was pretty gross tasting...small portion...way too much $ for what you are getting.

I enjoy Panera sandwiches and paninis, as well as other items. Today I wanted to try their new Wonton soup, which claimed to have a miso broth. When I got it, I saw that the broth did not settle like miso soup, as usually there is separation from the soy bean paste and the broth, but there was none and there appeared to be bubbles of oil. When I put a 'wonton' in my mouth, instead of minced pork amd vegetables filling my mouth there was nothing...

My wife and I went to Panera in Woodstock Il. Bill was $30.11.We both had a Pick two. we were charged $8.99 for the Garden Chicken Wonton bowl, and $2.99 for the half sandwich, and $2.99 for the half salad. When question why the Garden Chicken was so expensive, We were told that it was a full bowl and not half, So what does pick two mean, We should of been told that the Wonton bowl will be charged at full price.$8.99 for lunch, unacceptable....

Anonymous This happened to my girlfriend and I today. I saw the broth bowl was listed as part of the "pick 2" combo so we each got that and a half sandwich. $14 each! WTF?

Anonymous My guess is they expect you to know how to read the sign stating the prices since you are adults. That is why you were not told the prices when ordering.
