Panera Bread - Portion control gone wild
My wife and I just had a meal at the local panera in Baltimore's Canton Crossing area. For the cost $30.65 it was 2 bowls of soup a tuna on sour dough just Mayo and a Turkey bacon Panini, 1 soda and a bottle of water.
I understand that all restaurants are struggling to make profits but I never knew that Panera was serving midget bread. Both pieces of sour dough bread might make one slice anywhere else and the bread the turkey bacon was on was not much more than the little finger loaf breads.
1 slice of lunchmeat turkey, half slice of cheese because a full slice would over hang the bread, 1 strip of bacon cut in half so you had a piece on each half of the sandwich, a paper thin slice of tomato and leaf lettuce. I will not be returning anytime soon due to the tiny sandwiches and the prices regardless if it is organic or whatever.
Reason of review: tiny portions for the money.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Panera Bread Cons: Size of sandwiches.

Soup and sandwiches are tasty but seem to be shrinking as the prices go up. Not a good value.
Panera bread is known for their small portions and overpriced food. I don't bother with them anymore.
