Panera Bread on West Washington Ave in Madison, WI, was having trouble with its telephone ordering system. When I called the manager, he relayed the problem and asked me to use the online system.

I told him I tried the online system and my order was not completed. In fact, I tried several times to no avail. His suggestion: come to the location, wait in line and place the order.

My question is, if you can pick up the telephone, and your telephone ordering system is not operational; how is it you cannot take the customer's order. Perhaps, if the technology is not working; Panera can revert back to being old school and let a human take the order over the telephone.
